BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A pair of Midshipmen student-athletes were selected to the 2026 Women's Lacrosse Academic All-Patriot League Team on Wednesday afternoon, as announced by the conference office. Senior midfielder

Jalin Jenkins were selected to the 15-member academic squad.
The Mids have had at least one player selected to the Academic All-Patriot League Team each season since 2011.
To be eligible for the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Patriot League awards, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen are not eligible for this honor.
DeFabio, who has a 3.84 GPA in operations research, garnered her first all-conference accolade of her career earlier this week. She finished the regular season with 26 points on 19 goals and seven assists with 27 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, and a pair of draw controls. A true midfielder, she has had a hand in both the offense and defense, helping Navy rank third in the NCAA (first in the Patriot League) in both scoring offense and scoring margin, while coming in ninth in the NCAA (first in the Patriot League) in scoring defense. DeFabio is a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, while also being named to the Superintendent's List five times, the Commandant's list seven times, and the Dean's List. Additionally, she was selected to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll as a junior.
Jenkins is an honors physics major who boasts a cumulative 3.93 grade point average. She is starter on the Navy defense that has held eleven (11) opponents (eight Patriot League teams) to single-digit goals, registering 16 ground balls and eight caused turnovers this season. This semester, Jenkins has maintained a 4.00 GPA during the women's lacrosse season, while taking 21 credit hours. She was named one of 12 midshipmen selected as a Trident Scholar for the 2026-27 academic year with her area of study – A First Measurement of its Kind: The Structure of a Quasar High-Energy Emission Region. Additionally, the Chevy Chase, Md. native was selected as one of eight Midshipmen for the Draper Laboratory Internship as a junior, where she was selected to be involved in solving challenging, cutting-edge problems in areas such as Autonomous System Design and Analysis, Advanced Autonomy, Navigation, and Machine Learning, Intelligence Algorithms, Search Programs, and Modeling/Simulation Techniques, and more.
