NEW ORLEANS, La. – Nine Navy track & field student-athletes and both the men's and women's programs earned academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025-26 season, the organization announced on Monday.

Jamison Scott,
Sheldon Ulmer,
Cooper Wakley and
David Walker were named to the All-Academic Team.
The Navy men's and women's programs were recognized as All-Academic Teams after each attained a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. This marks the eighth-consecutive year the men's team (3.12) has earned the honor, and the fifth-straight year the women's team (3.10) has garnered the accolade.
Individually, rising senior Ulmer and rising junior Schloeder were honored for the second time. Meanwhile, 2026 graduates Compton and Mumford, rising seniors Alexander and Walker, and rising juniors McFadden, Scott and Wakley received All-Academic Team recognition for the first time in their careers.
To be eligible for individual distinction, student-athletes must have posted a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the nominating institution.
Additionally, athletes must meet specific competitive criteria. For the indoor season, they must have finished ranked in the top 96 of any championship individual event, or in the top 48 of any championship relay event. For the outdoor season, nominees must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Multi-event athletes must have finished the season ranked in the top 48 in the East or West regions.
