ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Rising senior Una Johnson has been named as the team captain for the 2026-27 Navy women's golf season, head coach Kylee Baker announced Wednesday.
 
"Having Una voted as our team captain by her teammates speaks volumes about the respect and trust she has earned within our program," said Baker. "She leads by example every single day through her exceptional work ethic, unwavering positivity and genuine commitment to her teammates."
 
Johnson has been a contributing member of the program for her first three seasons, including playing in four events this past year that saw her tally an 82.20 scoring average in 10 rounds. Her campaign was highlighted by the Tacoma, Wash., native earning a 12th-place finish at the Lehigh Invitational, shooting a 10-over par 154.
 
"Una has a natural ability to bring people together, elevate those around her and set the standard for what it means to be a leader in our program," continued Baker. "The confidence her teammates have placed in her is well deserved, and we're excited to see the impact she'll continue to make both on and off the course. There is no one more deserving of this honor."
 
For her career, Johnson has posted an 83.04 scoring average across 23 rounds of action. She has also been a two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recipient.
