WEST POINT, N.Y. - Navy men's track & field freshman Bill Stillman (Norfolk, Mass.) ranks fifth after the first-four events of the heptathlon as the Midshipmen concluded the opening day of the Patriot League Championship in Army's Gillis Field House on Friday.
Stillman has racked up 2,446 points in the 60-meter dash, long jump, shot put and high jump events on Friday. His highest score came in the 60-meter dash, where he crossed the finish line in 7.55 seconds for 697 points. He also tallied more than 600 points in the high jump with his 6'3/4" (670 points) clearance and a distance of 19'11" (602 points) in the long jump.
The Navy freshman enters Saturday 477 points behind the first-place score of 2,923 points from Army's Brandon Lewis.
The final-three events of the heptathlon (60-meter hurdles, pole vault, 1,000-meter run) will begin tomorrow at 8:45 a.m., followed by the field events at 11 a.m. and the track events at 1 p.m.
