Seabrook Named to NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team

Dec. 3, 2014

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Senior defender Jade Seabrook was tabbed to the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division I Women's Soccer All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, which was announced on Wednesday.

Seabrook, who was named the 2014 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, is the first player in program history to garner NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team honors three years in a row. Navy has totaled four other Midshipmen to earn first team laurels (Morgan Dankanich, Elizabeth Hoerner, Shelly Moeller and Meggie Curran).

Seabrook was the leader of Navy's defensive backline, led all field players with 1,832 minutes played and added a career-best 11 points on four goals and three assists. The senior defender tallied the game-winning goal against Holy Cross in Navy's 2-0 victory in Annapolis.

Last season, senior forward Dankanich, Hoerner ('13) and Seabrook were named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team and Kaylie Davidson was named to the third team.

Seabrook will find out on Friday whether she will be selected to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-America Team.
