STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Senior sprinter Jordan Sartor-Francis' (Jonesboro, Ga.) school-record breaking 60-meter dash time of 6.82 helped lead the Navy men's track and field team to a second-place finish at the Great Dane Classic on Saturday.

UConn grabbed the team title at the meet with a score of 110.25 points. Navy finished a close second with 100.75 points and Buffalo placed third with 67.5 points. Rutgers (61), Albany (58.5) and Villanova (45) rounded out the top six.

"We had a lot strong individual performances against a strong field today and I could not have been more proud," Navy head coach Stephen Cooksey said. "Jordan (Sartor-Francis) continues to get better and better by the meet, but I would be remiss not to mention how our team as a whole got better today."

Sartor-Francis, who held the school record in the 60m dash before the meet, broke his own time by 0.03 seconds for a third-place finish. The Jonesboro, Ga., native's current time of 6.82 is the fastest in the Patriot League. Sartor-Francis also placed third in the 200-meter dash, crossing the tape at 21.41. Junior Mitchell Pratt (Temple City, Ariz.) clocked a third-place time of 8:24.06 in the 3,000-meter run, which shaved off 17 seconds from his previous 2016 best time.
