PRINCETON, N.J. - Navy men's track and field seniors Steve Schroeder (Monticello, Ill.) and Jordan Sartor-Francis (Jonesboro, Ga.) and freshman Kordell Williams (Upper Marlboro, Md.) advanced in their respective events on the track on Day Two of the IC4A Championship on Saturday at William Weaver Track and Field Stadium in Princeton, New Jersey.

"All three runners ran well in their final meet before the regional meet," Navy head coach Stephen Cooksey said. "Both Jordan [Sartor-Francis] and Kordell [Williams] are on the outside looking in at the regional meet at the moment and have another shot at improving their times in the finals of their respective races tomorrow."

Schroeder topped the 46-runner field in the 1,500-meter preliminary race, crossing the finish line at 3:46.58. Schroeder's time advanced him to Sunday's finals race. Cross country teammates Ryan McCoy and Cory Donley also competed in the preliminary race, placing 16th and 25th, respectively.

Sartor-Francis was the runner up in the 200-meter dash preliminary race with a time of 21.46. The senior sprinter qualified as one of eight runners for Sunday's final race. Sartor-Francis was 0.08 seconds off first-place sprinter Deyvon Howell of Morgan State.

Freshman Stefano Pineda (Hockessin, Del.) garnered Navy's lone 2.5 team points of the day with a sixth-place finish in the pole vault. Pineda tied with Cornell's Andrew Barlow, crossing the bar at 15ft-11in (4.85m).

In the 110-meter hurdles, Williams advanced in both the preliminary and semifinal races. The freshman sprinter recorded a 12th-place preliminary time of 14.58 to qualify for the semis. Williams then finished fourth in the semifinal race with a time of 14.39 to qualify for Sunday's finals race.

Senior Billy Grammer (Heber Springs, Ark.) competed in his final collegiate meet, recording a 15th-place finish in the hammer throw. Grammer tallied a mark 179ft-11in (54.83m). Teammate Bryson Kasper tallied a career-best mark in the discus with a throw of 160ft-4in (48.86m).

Along with Sartor-Francis, Schroeder and Williams, Navy will have seven other athletes competing on the final day of the IC4A Championship. Navy's three javelin throwers will begin the day for the Mids at 10:30 a.m.
