The Series
• Sunday's match marks the 61st meeting between Army and Navy in a rivalry that dates back to a 17-8 win by the Mids on March 2, 1957 in Annapolis.
• Navy has been the dominant team in the series, boasting a 49-6-5 advantage, including a 22-5-3 record in matches staged in West Point.
• The Midshipmen have suffered just two setbacks (1997, 19-12 and 2015, 21-10) to Army in the last 54 matches, as Navy owns a spectacular 47-2-5 record during that span.
• Last year, Navy won two of the final three matches to overcome a four-point deficit and defeat Army West Point, 19-17, in Annapolis. • This will be just the third dual between the Mids and Patriots wrestled in Fairfax - Navy beat GMU, 33-4, on Dec. 8, 2012, and 23-9 on Nov. 8, 2014.
• Sunday's match is also one of three Army-Navy Star competitions being held this weekend. Army and Navy will tangle in a men's and women's basketball doubleheader on Saturday in Annapolis. The women's game will kick the day off at 11:00 am, followed by the men's game at 1:30 pm. Both basketball games will be carried live on CBS Sports Network.
• Heading into the weekend, Navy holds an 8-6 lead in the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA and a 10-7 lead in overall Army-Navy contests this season. Navy Notebook
• Third-year Navy head coach Joel Sharratt has led the Midshipmen to an 8-2 record this season with wins over Johns Hopkins (2), Delaware Valley (2), American, Maryland, Duke and George Mason. In addition to the ODU loss, Navy's only other setback was against nationally-ranked Lehigh.
• Just half of Navy's projected lineup has wrestled in this dual previously with junior 149-pound Corey Wilding the lone Mid to score a win - 125 Brant Leadbeter (0-1), Wilding (1-1), 165 Drew Daniels (0-2), 174 Jadaen Bernstein (0-2) and 197 Steban Cervantes (0-1). Meanwhile, making their Army-Navy debut will be 133 Corey Lambert, 141 Jared Prince, 157 Zack Elvin, 184 Michael Coleman and 285 Thomas Ott.
• Three Mids have reached 20 wins this season, including 15th-ranked Jadaen Bernstein who leads the team with a 24-6 record. He has won at least 20 matches in each of his three seasons at the Academy and has amassed an 82-33 mark. Additionally, he stands 20-4 in dual action over his career, including 8-0 this season. Two of those four losses have come against Army. Bernstein has twice beaten the Cadets' Ben Harvey this season - 7-4 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and 7-5 at the All-Academy Championship
• Both Jared Prince and Steban Cervantes clinched their 20th victory of 2016-17 in Navy's dual victory over George Mason. Prince stands 20-6 overall and 6-0 in dual competition. Ranked #15 at 141 pounds, he will wrestle Army West Point's Logan Everett in a rematch of the championship bout at the All-Academy Championship in which Prince won by major decision (15-2). Everett, who is 5-5 in dual action this season, stands #18 in the national rankings.
• Cervantes, meanwhile, is 20-7 and after missing nearly all of last season with a shoulder injury, will make his return to the Army-Navy rivalry. The junior 197-pounder dropped a 2-0 decision to Army West Point's Bryce Barnes in 2015. Meanwhile, he defeated Chris Morgan in the semi's of the All-Academy Championship, though he is expected to face a different competitor, Jack Wedholm, in Sunday's dual.
• Junior 165-pound Drew Daniels is riding a five-match winning streak as he heads into the weekend with a 13-7 mark overall and a 5-1 dual meet mark. He defeated Army West Point's Andrew Mendel in the championship bout (3-2) at the All-Academy Championship.

• The Cadets own a 6-5 overall record that includes a 4-3 mark against EIWA foes. Army West Point has wins over Cal Poly (23-10), American (18-15), Wyoming (18-12), Penn (18-14), Hofstra (34-3) and Binghamton (22-14). Its losses have been to Penn State (45-0), Drexel (22-14), North Carolina (25-6), Lehigh (28-10) and Bucknell (22-16).
• Four Cadets have won 20 or more matches this season, including starting 184-pound junior Jack Wedholm who leads the team with a 23-5 record and a 57-17 career mark. Sixteenth-ranked Russ Parson has amassed a 22-3 record at 157 pounds, including an 8-1 mark in dual action. Rookie Cael McCormick and senior Samson Imonode have 21 and 20 wins, respectively, though neither is among Sunday's probables.

How They Match Up - A Look Back to the All-Academy Championship
• Eight Army West Point wrestlers qualified for the championship at the 2017 All-Academy Championship, however, the Cadets won titles in just three weight classes - 125 Trey Chalifoux, 157 Russ Parsons, 285 Trevor Smith. The Cadets lost title matches to Navy at 141, 165, 174 and 184.
• Five Mids qualified for the championship at the 2017 All-Academy Championship and all five were crowned winners - 141 Jared Prince, 165 Drew Daniels, 174 Jadaen Bernstein, 184 Michael Coleman and 197 Steban Cervantes.
