CENTER VALLEY, Pa. –– Navy's Derrick Thompson (Fr., Towson, Md.) has been selected as this week's Patriot League Men's Tennis Player of the Week.

Thompson, who previously earned the accolade on January 29, posted a 3-0 record during a pair of victories by the Mids last weekend.  He first won a 6-3, 6-2 decision at No. 2 singles to help Navy to a 4-3 victory over Fordham.  Thompson then teamed with Peter Lohrbach (So., Little Neck, N.Y.) for a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles and recorded a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles in Navy's 6-1 victory over Delaware.

Thompson has compiled a 9-1 record in singles and a 7-2 record in doubles during Navy's dual meet season.

The Mids will play host to Fairleigh Dickinson (2 p.m.) and St. Francis Brooklyn (7 p.m.) Friday at the Tose Family Tennis Center.
