Game Day Storylines
• It's a First: Tuesday night will mark the first time in the program's 114-year history that Navy will play the same team three times in a season. Due to the COVID pandemic, this year's Patriot League schedules drastically changed for multiple sports, including men's lacrosse which was split into two divisions to limit overnight travel. This year also marked the first time Navy has played a conference opponent twice during the regular season, as the Mids and Greyhounds split with the visiting team winning both contests (April 3 at Navy, Loyola 14-10 and April 17 at Loyola, Navy 14-12).
• Jarosz Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week: Jon Jarosz (Fr /A) garnered Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors for a second time this season, when he received the award on Monday following his career-high 5-point performance at Lafayette on Saturday. One of 9 players to score for the Mids in the win, Jarosz paced Navy with 4 goals and an assist, scoring his 4 goals on 5 shots. The 4 goals are the most by a Navy freshman since co-captain Christian Daniel punched in 5 against Lafayette in 2018. Additionally, the 5-point day ties (Christian Daniel at Lehigh, April 10 and Patrick Skalniak vs. Loyola, April 3) as the third-best scoring output by a Navy player this year, while the 4 goals are tied as the most (Christian Daniel at Lehigh, April 10).
• Back in the Tourney: Navy, who has claimed 5 Patriot League Tournament titles (2004-2005-2006-2007-2009), returns to the championship after failing to qualify in 2019, while the collegiate season was canceled midway through 2020. This will be second-year Navy head coach Joe Amplo's first time coaching in the Patriot League Championship, while just 4 members of the Navy squad - seniors Jeff Durden, Christian Daniel, Tim Griffin and Andrew McKenna - have played a Patriot League Tournament game (2018 semifinals vs. Lehigh / L 10-9 OT)
• Reaching 100: With his first (14:07, 3Qtr) of 3 goals against Loyola on April 3, Christian Daniel (Sr / A) became the 36th player in program history to reach 100 career points and the 12th-fastest to achieve the feat. Daniel, who has been held without a point in just 2 of the 39 games he has played in over his career, has amassed 118 points on 74 goals and 44 assists and is ranked 23rd on the Mids' all-time scoring list. He is just 3 points outside of the top 20 (121 by Brendan Schneck, 1977-78).

Navy vs. Loyola - The Series
• Loyola and Navy are meeting for the 15th time overall and the ninth since Loyola joined the Patriot League in 2014. Tuesday's contest will mark the third meeting this season between the two programs (split during the regular season), while it's the first time they have met in the Patriot League Tournament.
• Loyola owns a 9-5 series advantage, winning 9 of the last 11 meetings. Navy's 14-12 win over the Greyhounds on April 17 marked just the second win over Loyola since 1943 and just the second since it joined the league. The April 17 win also marked the first by Navy on Loyola's home field.
• Tuesday's contest marks just the sixth game in the series played at Loyola with the Greyhounds winning 4 of the 5 - 2011 (9-8), 2015 (17-7), 2017 (18-7), 2019 (14-10) // Navy in 2021 (14-12).
• The two programs first met on May 6, 1939, with Navy posting a 14-4 victory. The Mids also took wins over Loyola in 1942 (12-8) and 1943 (8-1). However, the two teams would not meet again until the NCAA Tournament in 1993. The Greyhounds dealt the Mids a 19-8 to end their season.
• The series was rekindled in 2010 with Loyola scoring an 8-7 decision in overtime and a year later the Greyhounds earned a 9-8 come-from-behind win over the Mids in Baltimore.

Scouting Loyola
• In his 16th season as head coach at Loyola, Charley Toomey has directed his Greyhounds to a 7-5 record that includes a 4-3 mark in Patriot League action. The Greyhounds earned the #2 seed in the South Division with a 2-2 record against divisional opponents (includes first meeting only).
• After dropping back-to-back games, both at home, to Army (12-7) and Navy (14-12), the Greyhounds have come back to win two in a row heading into Tuesday night's Patriot League Quarterfinals. Loyola beat Lafayette on the road, 11-7, on April 24 before closing out its regular-season slate with an 11-9 victory over #9 Georgetown last Thursday.
• Averaging 12.25 goals per game, Loyola stands #2 in the Patriot League and #24 nationally in scoring offense.
• Leading the way for the Greyhounds is Aidan Olmstead (Sr / A), who has recorded 42 points on 19 goals and a team-best 23 assists. He is ranked 57th nationally in points per game (3.50) and 28th in assists per game (1.92).

• While those 3 players have accounted for 7 man-up goals this season, Peter Swindell (Gr / M) leads the team with 4 extra-man goals. The team's efficiency rate is 32.6.
• Sam Shafer (Sr / GK) stands between the pipes where he is yielding 8.81 goals per game (#15 nationally) and owns a 51.9 save percentage (#34).

Tourney Talk
• This is Navy's 13th Patriot League Tournament berth since joining the league in 2004 (18 yrs / 17 yrs tourney played).
• This will be the first time Navy has played Loyola in the Patriot League Tournament and just the second time the Mids have played in the Patriot League Tournament when the Greyhounds have served as the host - lost to Lehigh (10-9 OT) in the 2018 Patriot League Semifinals at Loyola.
• The Mids have been crowned Patriot League Tournament Champions five times -  2004 (def. Hobart, 9-8), 2005 (def. Army, 15-8), 2006 (def. Army, 8-5), 2007 (def. Colgate, 15-9) and 2009 (def. Bucknell, 9-8). They were the #1 seed for three of those title victories (2004, '05, '07).
• Navy owns an 11-7 record in the Patriot League Tournament, including a 0-2 mark in the quarterfinals. The sixth-seeded Mids dropped a 10-6 decision at third-seeded Lehigh in 2014 and lost an 11-7 game to fifth-seeded Holy Cross in Annapolis in 2015. The tournament was expanded to include a quarterfinal round in 2014 when Boston U. and Loyola joined the conference.
• Second-year Navy head coach Joe Amplo will make his Patriot League Tournament coaching debut after last season's tournament / season was canceled.
