ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy swimming and diving teams will be back in Lejeune Hall for a pair of meets this weekend as the Mids will play host to George Washington Friday at 4 p.m. and UMBC Saturday at 11 a.m.
Saturday's meet was originally scheduled to be contested at UMBC but was moved to Navy early this week.

Navy Men (2-0)
The Mids have been off from competition since opening the season with a pair of victories over Penn State (150-148) and Boston College (202.5-97.5) on Oct. 8.
Everet Andrew (So., Wilmette, Ill.) won the 100 and 200 free, placed second in the 500 free and anchored Navy's winning 400 freestyle relay team during the meet. Also winning events for the Mids were
Patrick Colwell (Jr., New Canaan, Conn.) in the 200 fly and
Zach Stump (Fr., Westerville, Ohio) in the 200 back.
Navy Women (1-1)
Navy opened its season by splitting a pair of meets two weekends ago. The Mids posted a victory over Boston College (181-119) and lost to Penn State (202.5-97.5) in Lejeune Hall.
Rachel Schlemmer (Jr., Sterling, Va.) and
Mackenzie Kim (Fr., Diamond Bar, Calif.) won individual events during the meet. Schlemmer touched the wall first in the 1000 free and Kim was the top finisher in the three-meter diving event. Navy entrants also placed second in five events.
George Washington Men (1-1)
The Colonials opened the season with a loss to Virginia Tech (202.5-86.5), then rebounded for a win over Old Dominion (167-96).
Navy has posted a 14-1 record against George Washington in dual meets. The teams first meet on Feb. 14, 1925, but then didn't compete again until the 1996-97 season. Navy registered a 110-55 victory over George Washington in the last meeting of the teams, which occurred in February 2021.
George Washington Women (2-2)
George Washington lost a pair of meets on the first day of the season as it dropped duals to Virginia Tech (211-89) and Ohio (188.5-111.5). The Colonials then posted victories over both James Madison (163-136) and Old Dominion (232-61).
Navy holds a 15-4-1 advantage in the all-time series with George Washington. The Mids posted a 162-64 victory when the teams last met in February 2021.
UMBC Men (0-2)
UMBC began the season with a pair of losses to Delaware (235.5-63.5) and Johns Hopkins (176.5-110.5) before competing in a two-day invitational at NJIT last weekend. The Retrievers placed first among the three teams (NJIT, St. Francis Brooklyn) that took part in the meet.
Navy's lead in the series with UMBC is 25-3. Most recently, the Mids defeated the Retrievers, 201-88, one season ago.
UMBC Women (0-2)
The Retrievers lost both of the dual meets they have competed in this season, with those losses coming to Delaware (238-59) and Johns Hopkins (166-121). UMBC then placed second in back of Vermont and ahead of St. Francis Brooklyn in a two-day invitational contested last weekend at NJIT.
Navy leads the series with UMBC by the count of 24-5. The Mids defeated the Retrievers, 177-105, last season.
