Isaiah Drake (gymnastics), Marleigh Duncan (rifle), Katie Halbert (women’s track & field), and Alex Rizzo (men’s track & field) were named co-NAAA Athletes of the Week presented by Northrop Grumman.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – On Saturday, the Midshipmen swept four Star competitions – gymnastics, rifle, men's and women's track & field – to clinch the overall Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA – the earliest in the history of the Army-Navy series. For their efforts against the Black Knights, the foursome of Isaiah Drake (gymnastics), Marleigh Duncan (rifle), Katie Halbert (women's track & field), and Alex Rizzo (men's track & field) were named co-NAAA Athletes of the Week presented by Northrop Grumman.

Rifle secured a 5885-5823 victory in West Point, while gymnastics posted a 397.25-379.55 win over Army at home. The men's track and field team earned a 101-80 victory with the women's track and field team clinching the overall Star Series with a come-from-behind 94-87 win against the Black Knights.

Navy is now 17-2 (.895) against Army in all contests and 13-1 (.929) in Star contests.

Isaiah Drake, Gymnastics
Competing for a Star for the first time in his career, freshman Isaiah Drake relished the added pressure and dominated all meet with an all-around score of 82.15 and first place results on the floor exercise (14.0), parallel bars (13.55) and high bar (13.3). That all-around score is the second highest by any collegiate gymnast this season. Additionally, he was second on both the pommel horse (13.7) and vault (14.55), and fifth on the rings (13.05).

Marleigh Duncan, Rifle
Marleigh Duncan helped lead the Navy rifle team to a 5,885 – 5,823 Star Match victory over Army Saturday by scoring a program-record 1,188 points. The freshman tied the program record for individual smallbore scoring at 592 points, along with posting a score of 596 in air rifle which was just three points short of her career-best score in the event. For her efforts, Duncan was awarded the Josh Watson Memorial Trophy – an award presented to the MVP of the annual Star Match. Along with her individual accomplishments, Duncan helped lead Navy to new team records for overall NCAA scoring at 4,719 points, team smallbore scoring with 2,346 points and overall scoring in a Star Match at 5,885 points.

Katie Halbert, Women's Track & Field
Senior team captain Katie Halbert helped Navy claim the women's track and field indoor Star (W, 94-87), scoring 10 of Navy's 94 points. Halbert won the 60m hurdles and the long jump during the meet. She broke her own Navy school record in the 60m hurdles, clocking a time of 8.56 to win the event. Her time in the 60m hurdles was also a Star Meet record and an ECAC qualifying time. In the long jump, Halbert registered a winning distance of 5.92m (19-05.25). Her performance in the long jump was the third best distance in Navy history, set a Star Meet record, and was an ECAC qualifying jump.

Alex Rizzo, Men's Track & Field
Junior distance runner Alex Rizzo helped Navy win the men's track and field indoor Star, 101-80. Rizzo won the 1-mile run by nearly two full seconds, clocking a Wesley A. Brown Field House record time of 4:00.84, besting his previous best time of 4:00.98, set two weeks prior at the Wesley Brown Invite. Rizzo's time is the third best in Navy history, coming less than one second shy of becoming the second Midshipmen in program history to run a sub-4-minute mile. The IC4A qualifying time is the fastest in the Patriot League this season and ranks 66th in the NCAA this year.
