ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy offshore sailing team had a pair of boats compete in the 2022 Newport to Bermuda Race, with each boat finishing in the top 10 of their respective class in the 635-mile competition.
 
Rising senior Jonathan Middlebrooks led his crew of 16 aboard KODIAK to a fifth-place mark in the 14-boat field of class 17.
 
In class 15, fellow rising senior John Neubauer and his crew of eight aboard the WASP finished ninth in a field of 13 boats.
 
Navy now heads to New York City for the New York Yacht Club Race Week which is scheduled to be held July 13-16.
