The second game in a row for the Navy men's basketball team against a Lehigh Valley team will be played Wednesday when the Mids (8-8, 1-3) play host to Lafayette (3-14, 1-3) at 7 p.m. in Alumni Hall.
Five Starting Notes
1 – Wednesday is one day after the 103rd anniversary of the first Navy-Lafayette game. The first game in the series was played on Jan. 10, 1920, in Annapolis. The Mids posted a 30-23 victory that day.
2 – Lafayette is Navy's fourth opponent in a row and 11th this season that enters its game against the Mids having won its previous game.
3 – According to KenPom.com, Navy ranks eighth in the Patriot League and 316th in the country with an average of 64.5 possessions per game. Lafayette ranks 10th in the league and 357th in the country (including reclassifying D1 teams) with an average of 62.3 possessions per game. (American is ninth and 328th, respectively, at 63.9 possessions.)
4 – Lafayette leads the Patriot League and is tied for 19th nationally with an average of 9.7 three-point field goals made per game. Navy is second in the league and 26th in the country with an average of 9.4 triples made per game.
5 – Navy ranks ninth in the Patriot League and 346th in the country with an average of 8.7 free throw made a game, as well as ninth in the league and 347th nationally with 12.1 free throw attempts per game. Attending the Game
• Fans without a Department of Defense ID card must park outside of the USNA and either walk through the gate one visitors center or ride the shuttle bus. Shuttle bus service begins one hour prior to the start of the game. It will depart from and return to the blue (west) parking lot at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (550 Taylor Ave., Annapolis, MD, 21401).
Last Game - Lehigh 78, Navy 73
• Navy overcame a 10-point first-half deficit to take a 39-38 lead at the half.
• The lead changed hands six times in the first 3:20 of the second half.
• Lehigh regained a 61-60 lead, but the Mids took leads of 68-61 and 70-63.
• From there, Lehigh outscored Navy 15-3 and tallied the last nine points of the game. The Mids were 1-11 from the floor with four turnovers in that span, while the Mountain Hawks were 5-12 from the floor, 5-7 from the foul line and did not commit a turnover.

About Lafayette
• Lafayette has posted an overall record of 3-14 this season and is 1-3 in Patriot League play.
• The last two games played by the Leopards have been extended into overtime, with Lafayette winning its last outing, 74-67, over Bucknell.
• Lafayette lost non-league games to Miami (Fla.), St. John's, Penn State, Penn (in overtime) and Princeton.
