Navy squash captain Millen Randell (Sr / Chicago, Ill.) produced a 3-0 record, as he, along with fellow seniors Ben Balser (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Tommy Rankin (Atlanta, Ga.) played their final home matches of their collegiate career. The 26th-ranked Mids (14-14) dropped a 7-2 decision to #13 Western (4-3) on Friday evening, were tripped up by #11 Chatham (7-4) 8-1 on Saturday and came up short (7-2) in a competitive match Sunday afternoon against #16 MIT (8-7).

Match Highlights
• Millen Randell (Sr / Chicago, Ill.) kicked off the weekend with a spectacular win over Western's Mitchell Kahnert at the #2 position. Kahnert owned a 2-0 lead when the veteran Navy player began to make his move. Randell picked up back-to-back wins (11-5, 11-8) to force a fifth game. Randell sealed the win with an 11-6 victory. He went on to win his next two matches by way of 3-0 sweeps, defeating Chatham's Jared Nalliah (13-11, 12-10, 11-7) and MIT's Tom Hogan (11-7, 11-4, 11-5). Randell is third on the team in the wins column with a 17-9 record, while owning a 44-37 mark over his career.
• #3 player Henry Sparkman (Jr / Darien, Conn.) nearly pulled off a 3-0 mark this weekend, as all three of his matches went into extra games. He opened with a 3-1 victory (14-12, 13-15, 11-6, 11-5) over Western's Antonio Mendes. Despite being ahead in both his matches against Chatham and MIT, Sparkman was unable to hold on in his five-game matches against Agustin Carranza (8-11, 12-10, 8-11, 11-7, 11-5) and Philip Hyun Su Price (9-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-8, 11-3).
• Lucas Spiro (So / Buffalo, N.Y.) dropped a 3-0 decision to Western's Taylor Carrick (11-9, 11-7, 11-6) on Friday evening and a 3-1 nod to Chatham's Owais Rasheed (4-11, 11-8, 11-5, 11-9) before getting a win in the weekend finale. Spiro, playing the #4 position, dropped his opening game to MIT's Collin Wen 11-7, but fought back to win the next three games (11-9, 11-8, 11-7) and take the match win.

What's Ahead
• Navy will travel to Charlottesville, Va. to compete in the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship next weekend.
• The official draws will be announced either Monday or Tuesday, however, Navy is expected to be the #5 seed and would open tournament play on Friday at 4:30 pm. The Mids would then play Saturday at 2:00 pm. Sunday's Championship match is set for Sunday at 10:00 am, the 3/4 match will be at 12:00 pm and the 5/6 match is slated for 2:00 pm.
• The Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (men) is made up of Dickinson, Drexel, Franklin & Marshall, MIT, Navy and Virginia.
