ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The men's tennis team is the recipient of the Academic Dean's Excellence Award for the 2023-24 academic year.

Awarded annually since the 1995-96 school year, the laurel is presented by the Academic Dean and Provost to the varsity team with the highest quality point average over both semesters of an academic year.

The 16 Mids on the roster combined for a 3.49 QPA during the school year.  

This is the first time the men's tennis team has earned the accolade.  

Head coach Chris Garner, team captain Sasha Panyan and the entire team were presented with a plaque for their accomplishment by Naval Academy Academic Dean and Provost Dr. Samara L. Firebaugh Thursday afternoon.
