ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The #9 Navy rifle team (2-2, 0-1 GARC) was edged, 4738-4730, by 2025 NCAA runner-up and second-ranked Kentucky (3-0, 1-0 GARC) on Saturday morning at the Bancroft Hall Rifle Range in Annapolis, Md. The 4730 points by the Midshipmen was a program record, topping the previous best mark of 4727 set against the Citadel and Georgia Southern during the 2024 season.
The Mids tallied 2350 in smallbore, which ranked third in program history. Additionally, Navy posted 2380 points in air rifle to tie for the fifth-best performance in school history.
"We had a great day on the range today," head coach
Mike Anti said. "I am very proud of how everyone performed today. Whether they were on the counting team or not, everyone gave 100-percent. I feel everyone is trying to push themselves to that next level which is great to see.
"As a team, we set a new program aggregate record, eclipsing the previous record by three points. For me, even more importantly, is we had seven individuals set new personal best scores in competition.

Parker Haydin led the team in both events with very impressive scores. Tyler, our MVP for this match, set a new individual program overall record of 1191. Isabella tied our program air rifle record with a 599. Parker fired the third highest score of the match in smallbore and backed it up with a solid air rifle performance. We also had

Kentucky earned the victory with 4738 points. The Wildcats led by five after smallbore thanks to a score of 2355. The visitors increased their advantage with a three-point win in air rifle thanks to a score of 2383.
The Wildcats' Braden Peiser was the individual winner with an aggregate total of 1195. The All-American posted a match-high total of 597 in smallbore, but was edged by Navy junior
Isabella Baldwin in air rifle.
Freshman
Tyler Wee was the top finisher for the Midshipmen on the day, coming in second behind Peiser. Baldwin was third and senior
Parker Haydin was fourth to place three Mids in the top five on the day.
T. Wee carded a score of 593 in smallbore to lead all Mids. He followed that with a score of 598 in air rifle to finish the day with a new Navy individual record of 1191 aggregate total. T. Wee's air rifle score tied for the fifth best in program history and was one back of the record. The freshman's 1191 aggregate tally bested the previous record of 1190 set by his teammate Haydin during his freshman season in November of 2022.
Baldwin tied the Midshipmen record in air rifle, carding a score of 599 in the discipline. She is the fourth student-athlete in program history to shoot 599 in air rifle, joining
Marleigh Duncan in 2022, Mark Amdahl in 2021, and Michael Zanti in 2021. Baldwin added a 586 in smallbore to finish the day with an 1185 aggregate total.
Haydin closed out the day with a combined score of 1184. The senior was consistent shooting a 590 in smallbore to go along with a 594 in air rifle.

Chelsie Glover – register scores in the 1160s. Dely shot a career-best 1169 thanks to a career-high 581 in smallbore and a 588 in air rifle. Uhrich matched his career high with an 1167, posting scores of 578 and 589 in smallbore and air rifle, respectively. Uhrich was one point shy of his career best in smallbore and three points back of his personal best in air rifle. The older Wee brother posted a collective score of 1167. He matched his season-best score of 577 in smallbore and notched a season-high tally of 590 in air rifle. Glover had a career day at the range. The junior set a new career high in smallbore (575), while tying a career best in air rifle (587) to set a new personal best in aggregate (1162).
Senior
Grace Shepard followed with an 1155 aggregate score. She posted a 561 in smallbore before registering a career high 594 in air rifle.
Freshmen
Preston Everette,
Audrey Hart, and
Bennett Hilgenberg all set early benchmarks to their young careers. Everette posted a season high 581 in air rifle to go along with a 563 in smallbore for an 1144 aggregate score. Hart (551 SB; 583 AR; 1134 agg) and Hilgenberg (540 SB; 546 AR; 1086 agg) set new personal bests in all three disciplines on the day.
