WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army women's rugby team (6-2, 6-2 National Intercollegiate Rugby Association) posted an 84-0 win over Navy (3-5, 3-4 NIRA) in the Star Match played Saturday at the Anderson Rugby Complex in West Point, N.Y.
 
"Army was clearly the better team today. Hats off to them and I wish them the best in the playoffs," said Navy head coach Murph McCarthy.
 
Taimane Diatomaceous opened the scoring two minutes into the game to set the tone for the Black Knights, who ran in 14 tries and added a late drop goal on the day. Emily Steen and Cassidy Ball each scored twice in the first half as Army built a commanding 46–0 lead by the break.
 
Alyssa Davis and Chloe de Leon each recorded two tries in the second half, while Alissa Eisenhart added 12 points from conversions and capped the rout with a drop goal in the closing minutes.
 
Navy had two opportunities to punch the ball in for a score, but the drives were halted for a knock-on penalty.

Navy will close out the 15s season when it welcomes Penn State to the Prusmack Rugby Center in Annapolis next Saturday on Senior Day. The Midshipmen will honor their seniors before kickoff with festivities beginning at 12:50 p.m. and the match set to start at 1 p.m.
