DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced its final set of weekly gymnastics awards on Tuesday and a familiar name was at the top of the press release as Navy's Isaiah Drake was noted as the ECAC Gymnast of the Week. A three-time weekly winner this season coming into Tuesday's announcement, Drake earned his fourth and final honor of 2025 for his stellar performance this past weekend at the USAG Collegiate National Championships.

UPDATE: On April 2, Drake was also announced on as the CGA National Gymnast of the Week. This is the second time in 2025 that he's been honored by the coaches' organization.

Drake was locked in from start-to-finish for Navy in his final career USAG Championship. Taking place over two days at the Mids' Halsey Field House, Drake competed as an all-arounder for Navy in the team contest on Friday afternoon and netted his squad 79.55 points. Those points proved pivotal in the Mids' success, as the team held off Army and Air Force at the top of the standings with a season-high score of 320.70 points versus respective totals of 315.05 and 313.05 for the Black Knights and Falcons. Individually, Drake's performance garnered him his first-ever gold medal at the USAGs as he placed first in the all-around, one point ahead of Air Force's Erich Upton. In the individual leaderboards for each event, Drake finished in a tie for first on the vault with a 14.1 score before placing fourth on the rings (13.3), and fifth on both the parallel bars (13.3) and high bar (13.35). Additionally, he scored 13.3 points for his floor exercise routine and 12.2 for his pommel horse effort. In the event finals on Saturday afternoon, Drake earned a bronze on the rings with a 13.05 score and a fifth place result on the vault courtesy of a 13.95 mark; he was only 0.1 shy of a bronze.

This is the 15th ECAC weekly honor of Drake's storied career and fourth and final accolade of 2025. As a program, Navy earned five ECAC weekly awards this season: Drake (Jan. 14, Feb. 4, March 18 and April 1) and Brian Solomon (Gymnast of the Week, Jan. 21)

Drake and the Mids will continue their postseason action this Saturday at the 2025 ECAC Championship. Hosted by Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, Navy will take aim at defending its league title for the seventh straight time. First touch is set for 2 p.m. ET (1 p.m.-local) at the Storm's Cowles Field House.
