BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy's
Nick Treaster earned Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) All-Academic honors for his performance both on the mat and in the classroom, it was announced on Tuesday.
Treaster was one of 58 student-athletes from the EIWA's 12 member schools to garner academic recognition for the 2024–25 season.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have either maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 and competed in the EIWA Championship, or posted a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and qualified for the NCAA Championship through the EIWA.
Treaster, a chemistry major who owns a 3.9 GPA, has earned academic honors from the Naval Academy in each of his first two semesters.
The Newton, Kan., native closed out his freshman season with an 8–11 record, including a 2–4 mark in dual meets. He earned his first collegiate victory at the Mat Town Open, defeating Lehigh's Logan Wadle. He placed seventh at the EIWA Championship at 125 pounds with wins over Bucknell's Chris Nucifora (13-0) and Morgan State's Julian Dawson (15-0).
