Navy Squash to Open Mid-Atlantic Squash Championship Friday Versus #6 Drexel

The 15th-ranked Navy squash team (21-3) will face the daunting task of meeting #6 Drexel (6-3) in the opening round of the 2026 Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (MASC) Championship held this weekend at the McArthur Squash Center in Charlottesville, Va. The Mids and Dragons will square off on Friday at 6:30 pm in what will be the first men's match of the tournament. Navy's second-round match will be Saturday at 11:00 am against #12 MIT (12-3).

The placement matches are set for Sunday at 10:00 am (3rd/4th), 12:00 pm (Championship) and 2:00 pm (5th/6th).

Milestone Watch
• Team captain Alexander Orr (71-38) stands 13th on Navy's all-time wins leader board and is just one win shy of tying former teammate Matt Wang (72 / 2021-25) for 12th on the list. 
• With a 49-25 record over the last three seasons, Ramsay Killinger needs just one more victory to become the 40th player in program history to reach 50 wins. 
• This year's Navy squad became the 12th in the program's 78-year history to reach the 20-win milestone when it defeated Franklin & Marshall 6-3 on Feb. 4. It's the first time a Navy team has won 20 matches since 2016-17 when the Mids finished the year 20-6. 
• With 21 wins to date, it's the most wins by a Navy team since the 2015-16 team finished the year 21-10
• Navy has not won more than 21 matches since the 2012-13 squad closed out its year with a 25-9 record

Osborne Reaches 100
• Eighth-year Navy head coach Tyler Osborne earned his 100th collegiate victory on Dec. 7 with the 7-2 win over Rochester.
• Osborne, who became the seventh head coach in program history in the summer of 2018, is fourth Navy squash coach to reach the century mark in the wins column, joining Craig Dawson (365-154 / 2001-18), Dave Brown (267-117 / 1982-96) and Art Potter (267-62 / 1951-77).
• Osborne owns a 106-84 (.558) record heading into the MASC Championship.

Drexel
• Drexel and Navy are meeting for the 19th time with the Dragons holding an 13-5 advantage in the series
• Navy won the first 5 matches, while Drexel has won 13 in a row
• Navy's last win in the series was at the CSA Team Championship on Feb. 16, 2014, when the Mids edged the Dragons 5-4

Recapping the 2025 MASC Championship
The 20th-ranked Navy squash team (16-9) closed out a grueling weekend of action with a fourth-place finish at the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship hosted by Franklin & Marshall. The Mids played 3 matches in the span of 24 hours, including facing the #5-ranked Virginia Cavaliers (8-3) in Saturday's opener. UVA dealt Navy a 9-0 loss before the Mids came back to upset 15th-ranked Franklin & Marshall (7-6) 5-4 on the Diplomats' home court. Navy closed out the weekend on Sunday morning where the Mids simply ran thin on fuel in a hard-fought 7-2 loss to #19 MIT (8-8).
