BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy track & field standouts

Zoie Tesi,
Julia Norris and
Jordan Wolverton earned Patriot League weekly honors following their performances at the Virginia Opener. Rey was named Women's Track Athlete of the Week, Tesi earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week and Norris and Wolverton were selected as Rookies of the Week.

Rey led off the 4x100-meter relay team that won the event with a time of 46.03, the fourth-fastest in school history. Individually, she placed third in the 100-meter dash (11.99) and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (14.36).

Tesi won the high jump for the second-straight outdoor meet, clearing 1.76 meters (5-9.25) for the second-best mark in program history.

Norris recorded a pair of fifth-place finishes in the shot put (13.95 meters / 45-9.25) and discus (44.67 meters / 146-7) and added a ninth-place mark in the hammer throw (47.06 meters / 154-5).

Wolverton competed in four events, including winning the high jump with a clearance of 2.01 meters (6-7). He also helped the 4x400-meter relay team to a second-place finish (3:15.64), placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles (54.85) and finished seventh in the 110-meter hurdles (14.81).

Navy returns to action this week at two meets, traveling to Raleigh, N.C. (Thursday-Saturday), for the Raleigh Relays while also hosting the Navy Outdoor Invitational on Saturday at Ingram Field in Annapolis.
