ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's rowing team will get back on the water this Saturday for more early season racing with two sessions of action in Philadelphia as part of the Temple Invitational on the Schuylkill River. The Mids will have six crews racing in the morning session that begins at 10 a.m. before the same six run it back over a 2,000-meter stretch of the Schuylkill at 1 p.m. Navy will test itself against six other regional mid-major opponents during the slate of action: Delaware, Fordham, Georgetown, Monmouth, La Salle and Temple.
The entire schedule of racing kicks off with a second varsity four contest between Navy, Delaware and Temple at 10:00 a.m., 20 minutes later the Mids' first varsity four crew will compete in a four-boat field consisting of Delaware, Georgetown and Temple. The 20-minute intervals between races continue as the second varsity eights from the previous four clubs race at 10:40 a.m. before the first varsity eights show off their speed at 11:00 a.m. Navy's depth gets a chance to showcase its talent with a 3V8 race versus La Salle at 11:30 a.m. and a 3V4 contest against Monmouth and Delaware at 11:40 a.m.
After a brief break, the same order of racing (2V4, V4, 2V8, V8, 3V8 and 3V4) will go off beginning at 1:10 p.m. for Navy with a bout versus Fordham and Temple. The V4, 2V8 and V8 matchups will consist of four teams going shoulder-to-shoulder as the Mids will take on the Rams, Hawks and Owls at 1:30, 1:50 and 2:10 p.m., respectively. A 3V8 race versus Temple at 2:30 p.m. and a 3V4 contest between Navy, Delaware and Monmouth at 2:40 p.m. will conclude an action packed Saturday.

The Navy women's rowing team got a strong taste of high echelon collegiate rowing over the weekend at the 2026 Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite as the squad raced a total of 16 times all against teams from Power Four conferences and two that currently rank among the nation's top-25. Racing down a 2,000-meter stretch of Melton Lake in Eastern Tennessee, the Mids' top-three varsity eight crews, as well as their top-two varsity fours all competed three times over Saturday and Sunday; their third varsity four raced once on Sunday. At the conclusion of an action-packed weekend, Navy's 3V8 earned top billing with a victory in its first race on Saturday, March 14. Additionally, the Mids' V4 finished third in its second race on Saturday to highlight the program's results.
Over the 16 races, Navy went up against crews from No. 19 Duke, No. 24 Oklahoma, Alabama, Louisville, Miami and North Carolina
