BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off a third-place team result at this past Friday's 2026 Patriot League Women's Rowing Championship, the duo of junior
Harlie Hanley and sophomore
Paige Burke were honored with All-Patriot League accolades. Hanley, now a two-time honoree, was recognized on the All-Patriot League First Team, while Burke earned a spot on the All-Patriot League Second Team.
Selected to the All-Patriot League First Team as a freshman in 2024, Hanley repeated the feat this season as she spent the entire campaign rowing with Navy's first varsity eight crew. At Friday's conference regatta, the Culver, Indiana native led the Mids from the stroke seat and helped the V8+ win its qualifying heat with a time of 6:37.582 before coming out in the afternoon and posting a 6:31.560 result in the grand final that left the squad in the mix for a medal until the last stretch of the race with MIT surpassed Navy for a 0.715-second margin at the finish line to grab third place. As a boat, Navy's V8+ ranked fourth overall.
Burke rowed from the bow seat of Navy's first varsity eight boat. This is the first career accolade for the Springfield, Virginia native.
As a team, Navy placed third overall in the point standings. The entire leaderboard on Friday consisted of Boston University in first with 319.5 points, Bucknell second with 242 points, Navy third with 209 points and MIT just missing the podium with 190 points.
The All-League teams are based on the team's finish in the Varsity Eight Grand Final from the Patriot League Rowing Championship, which was held on Friday, May 15 on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J.
