ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy track & field teams concluded the regular season by winning 13-combined events on Friday afternoon at the Navy National Elite at Ingram Field.

"With the league championships being pushed back two weeks and on the backside of finals, you want to make sure people are healthy and able to stay sharp," Navy director of track and field
Jamie Cook said. "So that's the idea with having this meet. We're trying to make sure everybody gets an opportunity to showcase their skills."

Track Events
Susanna Henderson won the Mids' first track event of the afternoon in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, crossing the finish line in 11:02.92 to claim her first outdoor victory of the season.

Team captain Mia-Claire Kezal highlighted the track action, running the 10th-fastest 800-meter time in school history. She won the event with a career-best mark of 2:08.22.

"That was a great 800 for Mia-Claire tonight," Cook said. "She was very assertive and battled through the windy conditions."

Kate Leddy paced the Mids in the women's 1,500 meters with a personal-best time of 4:31.58 to secure the win.
James Partlow completed the 1,500 sweep for the Midshipmen, clocking a career-best 3:47.67 to take the top spot on the men's side.

"Kate works really hard and she's had a good career," Cook remarked. "It's exciting to see her finish tonight with a good race."

Field Events
Navy captured the men's shot put for the first time this season, led by
Hunter-Robbins Mann, who recorded a mark of 15.20 meters (49-10.50) for his first collegiate victory.

Aurora Cieslukowski won the women's pole vault outright for the first time this spring, clearing a height of 3.83 meters (12-06.75).

In the javelin,
Malachi Cummings threw 61.75 meters (202-7) to win his first event of the season. On the women's side, Olivia Baird took first for the third time this year with a toss of 43.95 meters (144-2).

Brian Schloeder secured his fifth pole vault win of the season, leading a field of Midshipmen with a clearance of 5.17 meters (16-11.50).

Farrah Eike claimed the women's high jump title with a mark of 1.67 meters (5-05.75).

Gretchen Hurt added to the field victories by saving her best shot put mark for her final attempt, taking first place with a throw of 12.96 meters (42-06.25).

Mason Gibbons won the men's triple jump for the second time this season with a leap of 13.68 meters (44-10.75).

Lastly, Nalina Smith led the Midshipmen to their second women's discus win of the season, earning the top spot for the first time in her career with a throw of 44.54 meters (146-1).

Navy returns to action next Friday and Saturday when it hosts the Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Ingram Field.
