Navy Notebook
• Navy owns a 1-1 mark in dual action this season - lost a 28-9 decision to No. 2 Ohio State in its opener on Nov. 3, posted a 31-6 victory over Maryland on Dec. 7.
• The Mids have competed in four tournaments to date - Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open (no team scoring), Navy Classic (3rd/16 teams), Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (17th/43 teams) and Southern Scuffle (5th/23 teams).
• Five Navy wrestlers placed at the Southern Scuffle held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Chattanooga.
Nicholas Gil placed third at 141,
Aslan Kilic and
Jared Prince took seventh at 125 and 149 pounds, respectively, while
Tanner Skidgel and
Joshua Roetman finished eighth at 165 and 197 pounds, respectively.
• Eighteenth-ranked
Nicholas Gil (141) leads the way in the wins column with an 18-4 record, while 17th-ranked

Jacob Allen (125) and junior
