The Midshipmen won 10 of the 17 events on the day, earning maximum points in seven events.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy men's track and field team posted a 101-80 victory over rival Army in the annual Indoor Star Meet, which is part of the overall Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA, on Saturday afternoon at Wesley A. Brown Field House.

The Midshipmen won 10 of the 17 events in America's Meet, earning maximum points in seven events on the day.

With the win, the Navy men's team improves to 34-27-2 all-time against Army, including a 22-9-2 mark in Annapolis. The Mids have now won three consecutive indoor Star Meets and eight of the last 10 indoor star competitions.

Army jumped out to an early lead after one event as the visitors claimed the top two spots in the weight throw with Jamir Gibson of the Black Knights setting a meet record with a distance of 21.20m (69-06.00).

Navy responded by sweeping the long jump to even the score at 11-11.
