ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's track and field team was ranked No. 1 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic Region rankings. The men claimed the top spot among 32 teams for the fifth-straight week.
The Mids posted 932.55 points in the week-five rankings. Navy's point total is second in the nation behind Texas Tech with 1,005.14 points in the Mountain Region.
Navy recorded five new times / marks that rank in the top five in the region.
Baynes Autrey finished with the most decathlon points this season with 7,287. Additionally,
Thomas Christie (second most) and
Justice Hood (third most) posted decathlon scores of 6,565 and 6,315, respectively.
Brahmir Vick registered the second-fastest 110m hurdles time at 13.64.
Jacques Guillaume's 200m time of 20.87 ranks third in the region.
Overall, the Mids own 14 times / marks that rank in the top five in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Navy will travel to Philadelphia, Pa., this week to compete in the Penn Relays. The 127th edition of America's oldest and largest track and field competition runs Thursday (noon), Friday (noon) and Saturday (9:30 a.m.).
