ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Rising senior
Braden Presser of the men's track and field team will compete as a member of Team USA in the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) U23 Championships in the javelin at the National Stadium of Costa Rica in San Jose, Costa Rica. The javelin will take place Saturday at 10Â a.m. (ET).

The Liberty, Mo., native is one of five athletes competing in the men's javelin and one of 32 representing the U.S. men's team at the meet. Also participating in the javelin are Jose Alejandro Santana Melendez (Puerto Rico), Dorian Charles (Trinidad And Tobago), Dash Sirmon (United States) and Keyshawn Strachan (Bahamas).

Presser earned a spot on the U.S. U23 team after placing 11th at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships with a mark of 68.93m (226' 1"). The rising senior's season-best mark of 76.00m (249' 4") ranks second-best amongst the men's javelin field. His top mark of the season earned him sixth-place and First Team All-America honors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
