ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's tennis team will play the middle two matches in a six-match homestand Sunday when the Mids (10-2) play host to Fairleigh Dickinson (2-2) and Villanova (2-2) at the Tose Family Tennis Center.  Navy will face the Knights at 9 a.m. and the Wildcats at 12:30 p.m.

Live results from the matches can be found at NavySports.com.

Navy Update
The Mids opened their season with an 8-0 record, but saw that streak come to an end with a pair of 7-0 losses at Penn on Friday.  Navy bounced back the next day by recording victories over LIU (4-3) and Youngstown State (5-2) in Annapolis.

The foursome of Luke Garner, Tommy Kim, Herrick Legaspi and Nathan Nguyen have compiled 5-1 records in singles since the start of the dual match season.  Aniketh Ayinala and J.J. Etterbeek have combined for a 5-0 record as a doubles team this season.

Fairleigh Dickinson Preview
Fairleigh Dickinson's 2-2 record on the year includes a 4-3 victory over Lehigh Wednesday.  The Knights also have defeated St. Thomas Aquinas (4-3) and dropped matches to Le Moyne (4-3) and NJIT (7-0).

FDU will face Coppin State on Saturday before playing the Mids on Sunday.

The Knights posted a 14-8 overall record a year ago and finished Northeast Conference play with a 6-2 record to earn the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.  Fairleigh Dickinson advance through the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of the event before losing to top-seeded St. Francis Brooklyn in the championship match.

Navy has won all six prior matches in the series, including a 6-1 victory last season in Annapolis.

Villanova Preview
The Wildcats head into Friday matches against Delaware and Wagner with a 2-2 record this season. Villanova has lost to Drexel (6-1) and Lehigh (5-2) and defeated Colgate (4-3) and Rider (4-3) in the early part of the 2024 campaign.

Villanova compiled an 8-15 overall record last season.  The Wildcats lost to top-seeded Creighton in the quarterfinal round of the 2023 Big East Conference Tournament

The Mids have won the last three matches in the series to take a 20-2 advantage over the Wildcats.  Navy defeated Villanova, 6-1, last year in Annapolis.
