Â
"Really great job by coach (Sheldon) Hutchinson working with Sami (Bollinger). Very impressed with what she has done and how she has been patient working through some phases. Obviously, Ellie (Abraham) is a fantastic competitor for us and to see her break a school record in an event she doesn't run a lot shows a lot about her drive. Really happy with her and the work from coach (Kim) Lewnes," said Director of Track and Field / Cross Country
Jamie Cook. "We saw a lot of people step up today from
Caroline Rey in the hurdles,
Sam Keeny in the 1,000m and
Tyler Yurich in the 200m.
Joe Hurt coming out on top in the triple jump was great to see for him. There are multiple events that we are starting to come together at as a team and now it's a matter of us being ready for next week.
Â
"To say the women's team has broken seven school records this year shows how dialed in that entire group is and how much they want to work. They're always pushing each other and that says a lot about the comradery of the team. They do a great job of supporting one another and continuing the team's climb to bigger performances."

"What's really hard is you can only take 32 athletes from the men's and women's teams. You're always trying to pick the best 32 and allow everyone to prove themselves. It's better to have a hard decision than an easy decision," added Cook. "We as a staff have to recognize where everyone is and sit down as a group to figure out what is the best decision for the team going into the Patriot League Championships."
