NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) announced its weekly accolades and Navy placekicker
Jacori Sutton was recognized for his efforts in the Mids' 20-17 overtime victory over Army over the weekend, being tabbed the Special Teams Player of the Week.
Sutton connected on the biggest field goal of his two-year career with a 36-yard kick in overtime to give Navy the Star, the CSFL Championship, and an undefeated season. The 36-yard field goal was a season long for Sutton.
The sophomore kicker finished the game with a season-high two field goals. He converted a 21-yard attempt to put Navy in front 17-7 early in the fourth quarter before kicking the game-winner in overtime.
Additionally, Sutton added four kickoffs for 195 total yards (48.8) to help Navy with the field position battle.
