Countdown to Faceoff
10
 - Navy has fielded 10 different starting lineups in its 12 games this season. Mac Haley (Jr / A), AJ Marsh (So / D), Jacob Darrow (Sr / D) and Dan Daly (Jr / GK) have started every game for the Mids this season.
9 - Henry Tolker (Sr / A) is tied for 9th (Mike Hannan / 1976-79) on Navy's all-time goals scored list with 91. It's the most goals scored by a Navy player since Ian Dingman's 125 goals from 2003-07.
8 - Navy has won at least a share of the Patriot League regular-season title 8 times (2004-05-06-07-08-15-16-18) since joining the league in 2004.
7 - A goal by Carter Ash (Sr / A) on Friday night would extend his consecutive games with a goal streak to a team-best 7 in a row.
6 - William Goers (Fr / A) is tied for 6th on Navy's all-time freshman assists list with 17. It's the most assists by a Navy freshman since Ian Dingman dealt out 17 assists in 2003 ... nearly 2 years before Goers was born.
5 - Navy has played 5 games against nationally-ranked opponents this season and is 2-3 (W, 14-10 vs. Towson / L, 13-7 at Penn State / W, 13-9 vs. Boston U. / L, 12-9 vs. Johns Hopkins / L, 12-11 OT vs. Army).
4 - AJ Marsh (So / D) has scored the 4th-most goals by a Navy pole (D/LSM) in program history with 7 alongside Zack Schroeder (2007-10) and Bucky Morris (2001-04). This season he has scored 4 goals and dealt out 4 assists.
3 - Three of the last 4 contests in the Navy-Loyola series have been decided by 2 or fewer goals, including each of the last 2. Loyola defeated Navy in last year's regular-season matchup 12-10 before the Mids turned the table on the Greyhounds and beat them 12-10 in the Patriot League Tournament Quarterfinals.
2 - Jack Ponzio's (Fr / M) 41.5 shooting percentage is tied for the 2nd best among midfielders around the country - 42.5 / Luke Okupski, Fairfield, Sr. and 41.5 / Drew Anderson, Marist, Jr.
1 - During the Joe Amplo era, Navy has lost just 1 game when holding its opponent to single digits. The Mids are 29-1 when achieving that feat since 2020. Loyola has been held to single digits in 7 of its 12 contests.

Navy-Loyola Series
• Loyola and Navy are meeting for the 21st time overall and the 15th since Loyola joined the Patriot League in 2014.
• Loyola owns a 13-7 series advantage, winning 13 of the last 17 meetings.
• Friday's contest will be just the 8th game between the two programs played in Baltimore with the Greyhounds leading 5-2. Navy, however, has defeated Loyola twice in the last 3 games played on the Greyhounds' home field (W 14-12 in 2021 / L 16-9 in 2021 / W 11-10 in 2023).
• The two programs first met on May 6, 1939, with Navy posting a 14-4 victory. The Mids also took wins over Loyola in 1942 (12-8) and 1943 (8-1). However, the two teams would not meet again until the NCAA Tournament in 1993. The Greyhounds dealt the Mids a 19-8 to end their season.
• The series was rekindled in 2010 with Loyola scoring an 8-7 decision in overtime and a year later the Greyhounds earned a 9-8 come-from-behind win over the Mids in Baltimore. Loyola joined the Patriot League in 2014 and the two have met every year since, except for 2020 due to the pandemic.

Scouting Loyola
• Twentieth-year Loyola head coach Charley Toomey has guided the Greyhounds to a 2-10 record this spring, including a 2-4 mark in the Patriot League.
• Loyola's record is deceiving, however, as 5 of its 10 losses have been by 1 goal, including a pair of overtime losses.
• The Greyhounds lost their first 9 games (13-6 Georgetown, 8-7 OT Maryland, 9-8 Johns Hopkins, 10-5 Rutgers, 18-6 Colgate, 12-11 Providence, 13-7 Boston U., 11-10 Lafayette, 7-3 Lehigh) before knocking off Bucknell in overtime (12-11) in Lewisburg on April 5. Coming off an emotionally-charged win, the Greyhounds dropped a 13-12 decision in overtime to Towson just 3 days later. Loyola, however, bounced back by trucking Holy Cross 21-10 last Saturday.
• Matthew Minicus (Jr / A) leads a Loyola offense that is averaging 9.00 goals per game. Minicus has produced 42 ponts on 19 goals and 23 assists (both team highs). Mason Cook (Fr / A) has turned in 22 points on 15 goals and 7 assists, while Henry Haberman (Jr / A) has 20 points on 14 goals and 6 assists.
• The defense, meanwhile, is allowing 11.25 goals per game, holding just 3 teams (Maryland, Johns Hopkins, Lehigh) to single digits this spring.
• Max Watkinson (Jr / GK) is in his 1st season as the full-time starter between the pipes where he owns an 11.05 goals-against average and a 56.8 save percentage. He is averaging 14.00 saves per game. He owns an 12.14 goals-against average and a 52.5 save percentage.
• Rutgers transfer Remi Reynolds (Sr / D) leads the team with 24 caused turnovers, while Joe Houlihan (Sr / D) has 16.
• Carson Hall (So) has taken the bulk of the faceoffs for the Greyhounds, winning 93 of the 181 draws (51.4) he has taken. Sawyer Allen (Sr) has won 14 of 64 (21.9) and Mason Graves (Fr) has won 13 of 24 (54.2).

Plenty of Goals to Go Around
• There have been just 10 seasons in program history in which Navy has had 20 or more players score a goal, including each of the last 4 years (22 in 2022 and '23 / 23 in 2024 / 23 in 2025).
• Navy broke the program record for most players to score a goal in a season 2 weeks ago against Lafayette (4.4) when Chase Green (Fr / SSDM) notched his 1st-career goal just under 3 minutes into the contest. Graham Parker (So / SSDM) then became the 26th different Navy player to score a goal when he, too, scored his 1st-collegiate goal in the contest.
• Navy owns a 124-16 record (88.6) when scoring 10 or more goals since 2004, including a 100-15 mark (87.0) in the last 17 seasons (9-1 in 2009 // 10-1 in 2010 // 3-2 in 2011 // 5-0 in 2012 // 3-0 in 2013 // 4-0 in 2014 // 5-0 in 2015 // 9-2 in 2016 // 6-1 in 2017 // 6-0 in 2018 // 5-1 in 2019 // 2-0 in 2020 // 4-1 in 2021 // 7-1 in 2022 // 7-2 in 2023 // 9-2 in 2024 // 5-1 in 2025).
• Navy has scored 7 or fewer goals in 51 of its last 183 contests, but only 13 times in the last 7 years - 2019 (Loyola, L, 18-5), 2020 (Lehigh, L, 14-6), 2021 (Lehigh, L, 13-7), 2022 (Lehigh, L, 11-7 / Loyola, L, 18-7), 2023 (Manhattan, L, 6-5 / Villanova, L, 17-6 / Army, L, 11-6 / Loyola, L, 12-7), 2024 (Towson, L, 17-5 / Penn State, L, 13-3 / Villanova, L, 14-7) amd 2025 (Penn State, L, 13-7).
• Navy averaged 10.88 goals per game last spring, marking the 6th-consecutive year the Mids averaged double digits.
• Navy currently stands #33 nationally in scoring average (11.50), scoring double digits in 6 of its 12 games. Navy hasn't finished the year averaging 11.0 goals per game since 2020 and has averaged 11.0 goals just 3 times since 2000 (12.28 in 2004 / 11.00 in 2007 / 11.80 in 2020).
