Upsetted-Minded Mids Push #11 Tufts in 6-3 Loss

The 15th-ranked Navy squash team (17-3) dropped a 6-3 decision to #11 Tufts (8-4) Sunday afternoon in what marked the Mids' first home loss of the 2025-26 season. An extremely competitive match between the two programs, four of Navy's losses went into extra games, including two that were decided in five.

Match Highlights
• Navy secured wins at #1, #4 and #9
• Wenqing Tang (So / Villanova, Pa.) earned a hard-fought win at #1, edging Tufts' Santiago Medina in four games. Each of the four games was decided by the necessary two points, as Tang posted an 11-9, 11-9, 10-12, 11-9 victory. He is now 17-0 on the year and has won 21-consecutive matches dating back to last season.
• Johan Hodgson (Fr / Riverside, Conn.) earned a convincing win over Milo Freidman, sweeping the sophomore 11-7, 14-12, 1-19
• Ramsay Killinger (Jr / Wyndmoor, Pa.) inched closer towards the 50-win milestone for his career (47-24) as he picked up a sweep of his own at #9. Killinger dealt Tufts junior Rutva Samant an 11-8, 11-9, 12-10 loss. Killinger needs just three wins to become the 40th player in program history to reach 50 wins.
• Team captain Alexander Orr (Sr / Haverford, Pa.) and Michael Tierney Jr. (So / Berwyn, Pa.) played magnificent matches against their respective foes and had match balls, but came up short in five games.
