The 14th-ranked Navy squash team (19-3) won the first seven matches en route to a 7-2 victory over #19 Western (Ontario) (1-9) Saturday afternoon at the Prager Family Squash Facility in Annapolis, Md. Meeting for the 20th time overall and just the fourth in Annapolis, it was Navy's first victory over the Mustangs since 2018. Western came into the match having won seven in a row against Navy.

Johan Hodgson (Fr / Riverside, Conn.) provided Navy with its first win of the match, sweeping fellow rookie Liam McKay at the # 4 spot 11-5, 11-1, 11-6

Andrew Ko (Fr / Sykesville, Md.) made it 2-0 just three minutes later behind an 11-4, 11-9, 11-5 victory over Western senior Arin Khot at #6

Avinash Uppuluri (So / Short Hills, N.J.) not only made it three in a row for Navy, it was the Mids' third-straight sweep as he posted an 11-6, 12-10, 11-9 win over freshman Dylan Erb at #7

Alexander Orr (Sr / Haverford, Pa.), who was recognized prior to the start of the match as the Mids' lone senior, earned his 69th collegiate victory by way of a 3-0 result against sophomore William Znidarec at #3.
• With the win, Orr moved into a tie for 13th on Navy's all-time wins leader board alongside Colin Barry (69-29 / 2011-15) and Dylan Sweeney (69-32 / 2015-19) and is now just one win shy of becoming only the 13th player in school history to reach the 70-win milestone. The last player to reach 70 wins was
Matt Wang who finished his career a year ago with a 72-50 record.
• After more than an hour of action,
Wenqing Tang (So / Villanova, Pa.) clinched the team victory for Navy with a spirited 3-2 win over junior Daniel Deverill at the #1 position. Tang opened with an 11-8 win, but Deverill rallied to win the next two (13-11, 11-9) and take a 2-1 lead. Tang pushed the match to a fifth game with an 11-9 victory in the fourth before finishing the match win an 11-4 win. Â Tang is now 19-2 on the season, including 19-0 in team-played matches, and 43-6 over two seasons.

Christian Graziano (Fr / Greenwich, Conn.) picked up a 3-0 win over freshman Rohan Paliwal in just under 30 minutes at the #2 spot, while
Michael Tierney Jr. (So / Berwyn, Pa.) earned a hard-fought 11-9, 11-9, 11-9 win over senior Eesa Huq at #8. Tierney Jr.'s win was the 30th of his career.

Matthew Kang (Jr / Malvern, Pa.) and
Ramsay Killinger (Jr / Wyndmoor, Pa.) put together tough performances, but came up short in four and five games, respectively.
What's Ahead
• Navy will play its final two regular-season matches of the 2025-26 season this week before entering postseason action (Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship / CSA Team Divisional Championship)
• The Midshipmen will play host to Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday at 6:00 pm and will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. on Saturday to play Chatham at 12-Noon.
