Milestone Watch
• Team captain
Alexander Orr (73-39) stands 12th on Navy's all-time wins leader board and is just one win shy of breaking into Navy's all-time top 10. Mike Brennan (2011-05), Christopher Zipf (2005-09) and Jim Kacergis (2011-15) all finished their careers with 74 wins which is tied for 9th.
•
Ramsay Killinger reached the 50-win milestone in his last outing, defeating Dickinson's George Vollmer in 3 games to become the 40th player in program history to reach 50 wins.Â
•
Wenqing Tang, who has had a remarkable two-year run at Navy, has put together a 48-6 record to date. He needs 2 wins to become the 41st player in school history to reach 50 wins.
• This year's Navy squad became the 12th in the program's 78-year history to reach the 20-win milestone when it defeated Franklin & Marshall 6-3 on Feb. 4. It's the first time a Navy team has won 20 matches since 2016-17 when the Mids finished the year 20-6.Â
• With 22 wins to date, it's the most wins by a Navy team since the 2012-13 team finished the year 25-9.
Osborne Reaches 100
• Eighth-year Navy head coach
Tyler Osborne earned his 100th collegiate victory on Dec. 7 with the 7-2 win over Rochester.
• Osborne, who became the seventh head coach in program history in the summer of 2018, is fourth Navy squash coach to reach the century mark in the wins column, joining Craig Dawson (365-154 / 2001-18), Dave Brown (267-117 / 1982-96) and Art Potter (267-62 / 1951-77).
• Osborne owns a 107-86 (.554) record heading into the CSA Divisional Team Championship.
Mids at the CSA Team Championship
• 6 of the 9 Navy players have previously played in the CSA Team Championship, including senior
Alexander Orr who will be making his fourth appearance and owns a 5-3 record
• Making their first postseason appearance for the Mids will be freshmen
Christian Graziano at #2,
Johan Hodgson at #4 and
Andrew Ko at #6
• This is the third time Navy has qualified for the Hoehn Cup under head coach
Tyler Osborne, including the second-consecutive year
• The Mids dropped back-to-back 7-2 decisions to top-seeded Western Ontario and and fifth-seeded MIT
