Men’s Indoor Star on the Line as Navy Faces Army in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The men's track & field teams from Navy (0-0-1) and Army (0-0) will go head-to-head in a battle for the 2026 Indoor Star on Saturday afternoon at the Wesley Brown Field House in Annapolis. The throwing events are slated to begin at 11 a.m. with running events beginning at noon. The meet is part of the overall Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA.
 
As a program, the Midshipmen enter the meet in pursuit of their 26th-straight Star win (combined men's and women's) across indoor and outdoor seasons.
 
Live results will be available throughout the meet at navysports.com.
 
Accessing the Naval Academy
• Vehicle access to the U.S. Naval Academy is restricted to drivers with a Department of Defense ID card. All other visitors must park outside USNA grounds.
• Fans can either walk through Gate 1 security checkpoints or take complimentary shuttles from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
• Anyone 18 or older must present a Real ID or passport. Visitors 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
• Shuttles will operate from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday from the stadium's Blue/West parking lot (press box side), accessible via Gate 5 off Taylor Avenue. Parking is $10.
 
All-Time Series
The Midshipmen hold a 37-27-2 record in the overall indoor series over the Black Knights with a 23-9-2 lead in meets held in Annapolis.
 
The Navy men have won 12-straight Star Meets (indoor and outdoor combined), a streak that began in 2020.
 
Navy director of track & field / cross country Jamie Cook boasts a 7-1 mark in the indoor series against Army.
 
2025-26 Army-Navy Star Series
Along with the men's track & field Star on the line, the women's track & field and gymnastics Stars will also be decided in Annapolis on Saturday, while rifle will battle for a Star up in West Point.
 
The Midshipmen enter the weekend with a 7-4-1 (.625) lead in the Army-Navy Star Series and a 9-5-1 (.633) record against Army West Point overall. Navy has won the last five Star competitions: men's rugby, sprint football, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving and football.

Last Time: Army-Navy Indoor Star Meet (Feb. 1, 2025)
The Navy men's track and field team kept its streak alive with a 99-82 win over Army in the Indoor Star Meet.
 
The Midshipmen won nine of 17 events, highlighted by two individual wins from Nathan Kent in the 200 (21.52) and 400 (49.70) meters and sweeps in the relays, including a decisive 4x400 (3:17.13) performance that helped seal the team victory.
