INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Navy's
Lauren Walsh was officially invited to compete in the NCAA Swimming Championship on Wednesday with the release of the field for the meet that will be held March 18-21 at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
Walsh will compete in the 100 breaststroke, which will be contested on Thursday, March 19. She advanced to her first NCAA Championship through winning the event at the Patriot League Championship with a finals time of 59.78. A time of 1:00.30 for conference champions was required to earn an automatic berth to the national championship.
Navy last qualified swimmers for the NCAA Championship in 2023. This is the 11th time in the last 19 seasons in which at least one Navy women's swimmer or diver has qualified for the national championship.
