ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Wrapping up its eight-game homestand, the Navy baseball team (8-3) is set to host Dartmouth (2-4) in a four-game series this weekend at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium.

The final non-conference series before Navy opens Patriot League play, the Midshipmen and Big Green begin the weekend with a 5:05 p.m. first pitch on Friday, while Saturday's doubleheader is slated for a 1:05 p.m. start and Sunday's series finale is scheduled for 12 noon. Saturday's twin-bill is set to be a seven-inning contest followed by a nine-inning nightcap.

Tim Nolan will have Friday's call, while Scott Wykoff is set to handle the Saturday games and Joe Miller will broadcast Sunday.

Phypers Named PL Pitcher of the Week
Navy freshman
Owen Phypers was named the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon … Phypers threw seven scoreless frames in the Mids' 4-0 win over St. Bonaventure on Sunday, as the rookie tallied four strikeouts while limiting the Bonnies to four hits and three walks … With Sunday's performance, Phypers became the first Navy freshman to have a scoreless seven-inning outing since Noah Song on April 17, 2016 against Lehigh, while the righty also became the first Mid to throw seven shutout innings since
Brady Bendik accomplished the feat in back-to-back starts last season (March 28 at Army and April 5 vs. Lafayette) … Previously named the league's Rookie of the Week on Feb. 16, Phypers has a 1.06 ERA through his first three college starts, allowing just two runs over 17 innings.
