WEST POINT, N.Y. // Navy shot a 14-over par 294 in Saturday's second round of the Patriot League Men's Golf Championship to finish out the day in fourth place. With a 27-over par 587 (293-294), the Mids head into Sunday's final round 8 strokes behind Army, who leads the tournament with a 19-over par 579.
The Mids closed out Friday's opening round in a dead heat alongside Army with a 13-over par 293, but while Lafayette (+5) and Army (+6) dramatically improved their scores in the second round, both Navy and Loyola shot near-identical rounds on Saturday. Army (293-286) holds a 5-stroke lead over Lafayette (299-285), while Loyola (294-292) is 7 strokes behind in third.
Chip Deegan (Sr / Newport Beach, Calif.) pushed up from eighth to fourth on the individual leader board with his team-low 72 on Saturday. With a 5-over par 145, he trails Lehigh's Ryan Cronin who is even through two rounds and atop the leader board.
Hudson Mitchell (Fr / Pensacola, Fla.) matched his opening-round mark of 4-over par 74 to position himself in 12th with an 8-over par 148. Team captain
Jack Tarzy (Sr / Medford, N.J.), who shared the lead after the first round, struggled in the opening holes of the second round and finished the day with an 8-over par 78. He still resides inside the top 20 with a 9-over par 149.
Ed Scott (So / Lemont, Ill.) stands 22nd with an 11-over par 151,
Danny Auffant (Jr / Bellevue, Wash.) is 35th with a 16-over par 156 and
Sebastian Alonzo (Fr / Azusa, Calif.) is 39th with a 17-over par 157. Auffant turned in the second-lowest round of the day for the Mids, bouncing back from an opening-round 83 to shoot 73 on Saturday.
The final round of the 2026 Patriot League Men's Golf Championship is set to begin at 8:00 am on Sunday at the West Point Golf Course. Navy will play alongside Holy Cross and Lehigh beginning at 9:00 am.
