Mids in the First Round
Nathan Kent will make his fourth-consecutive appearance at the NCAA East First Round. The three-time All-American (two-time second team and one honorable mention) will compete in the 400 meters and as a member of the 4x400-meter relay squad for the fourth-straight season. Last season, Kent helped the 4x400-meter relay squad to a school-record time of 3:04.05 to claim the final spot to the national meet. Kent later qualified for nationals in the 400 meters, where he is a two-time All-American in the event, placing fourth in the quarterfinals with a school-record time of 45.32.
Â
Malachi Cummings,
Brian Schloeder,
Zoie Tesi and
David Walker are set to compete in their second-straight qualifier. Cummings will compete in the javelin, where he looks to improve upon his 35th-place finish in last year's meet with a throw of 61.23 meters (200-10). Schloeder (pole vault) and Tesi (high jump) will look to earn their first placements in the meet after neither recorded a mark in their respective events last year. Walker, a 2025 honorable mention All-American, returns as one of two members from last year's 4x400-meter relay team to race in the event this season.
