ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy intercollegiate sailing team competed in three events over the weekend, highlighted by winning the Kings Point Team Race. The Midshipmen have now won four of the eight races they have competed in this spring.
The Mids kicked off their busy weekend at the Kings Point Team Race, going undefeated on the first day of competition to enter Sunday in prime position for the win. Navy continued its strong showing on the final day of competition, finishing with an overall mark of 13-2 to secure its fourth victory of the spring.
The Midshipmen were led in the competition by skippers

Izzy Fadullon.
Penn finished second behind the Mids with a record of 10-5, followed in order by Hobart & William Smith (10-5), Fordham (5-10), SUNY Maritime (4-11) and the Merchant Marine Academy (3-12).
The Washington College Team Race marked the second event of the weekend for Navy, in which it totaled a 12-3 record over the three-round event. Georgetown took first place with a 14-1 mark, while Cornell finished behind the Midshipmen in third with a record of 8-7. Christopher Newport (6-9) was fourth, followed by Washington College (3-12) and Princeton (2-13).

The Graham Hall Team Race, named in honor of a beloved former coach of the Navy sailing program, stands as one of the largest and competitive team racing events on the college sailing schedule. This year's event featured 16 teams, and immediate competition once racing began on Saturday.
The Mids posted a 6-2 record on day one of the event, remaining in the hunt for the win heading into Sunday. Navy was seeded in the top-eight round based on the results from earlier races, leading to a round robin to decide the event's champion.
Navy went 5-2 in the round of eight, and were in second behind Yale heading into the final round of the top-four teams. All of the races proved to be competitive, but saw the Midshipmen come away winless in the round. The Midshipmen (5-5) rebounded to beat Georgetown in a sail-off race to finish third overall behind Yale (9-1) and Stanford (6-4).
