FAIRFAX, Va. - The Navy track and field teams competed in the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on Saturday in Fairfax, Va. As a team, Navy totaled 14 IC4A / ECAC qualifying times/marks and won two events. The meet had no team score.
Â
"This was a similar meet to when we went to George Mason during the indoor season. We sent more of our developmental athletes to the meet today with hopes of them making a statement to be a part of the Patriot League Championship roster," said Associate Head Coach
Chris Campbell. "This was an opportunity to give more of our athletes a chance to compete in a real meet with real performance marks to see what they could do. We were very pleased with the effort today. We had a lot of kids compete and we saw a lot of solid performances.
Â
We hope to use this as a tune up for the rest of the outdoor season and help us get ready for the conference championship," continued Campbell. "Everyone's focus going forward is trying to be one of the 35 athletes to represent Navy at the outdoor championship."
