Mids Head to Boston for Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy men's track & field team will look to capture its sixth-consecutive indoor league title, while the women seek their sixth in the last seven years when the Mids travel to Boston, Mass., this weekend for the 2025-26 Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championship.
 
The two-day event kicks off on Saturday at BU's Track & Tennis Center with the field and multi events starting at 11 a.m., while the running events are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. The championships wrap up on Sunday at 11 a.m. with additional field events and the conclusion of the multi events, while the running events are slated for 12:02 p.m.
 
Follow the Action
The track events will be streamed each day on ESPN+. Field events during the championships will not be streamed, but up-to-date content will be available by following @PatriotLeague on Instagram.

Championship Culture
The Navy men's squad has dominated the league championship, having won a conference-best (tied) 15 Patriot League indoor titles, including each of the last five. Head coach Jamie Cook was named the Patriot League Men's Indoor Coach of the Year in each of those five championship years.
 
On the women's side, Navy has also established itself as one of the conference's premier programs, winning eight indoor crowns including five over the last six seasons.

A Look Back at the 2024-25 Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships
Last season, the men extended their conference championship streak to five in a row by outscoring second-place Army by 70 points (223-153). Jamie Cook was named the Men's Patriot League Coach of the Year for the fifth-straight year, while junior Nathan Kent earned Patriot League Men's Track Athlete of the Meet honors and scored the most points at the championship for the second-straight season.
 
The women's team placed second, just 17.5 points behind Boston U. who claimed the team title. Jia Anderson was among the top competitors in the championship, winning the 60-meter hurdles (8.53) for the third-consecutive year.
 
Patriot League Championship Major Awards
All-Patriot League honors will be determined by event finishes, with the winner earning first-team honors and runner-up garnering second-team recognition.
 
Following the conclusion of the meet, league head coaches will vote on several individual major awards, including a men's and women's track athlete, field athlete and rookie of the meet. Additionally, the men's and women's coach of the year awards will also be selected. The Patriot League will also present awards to the men's and women's highest scorers of the meet.
